महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-137, verse-9

चतुर्थं तु वरं याचे त्वामहं द्विजसत्तम ।
तं ममानुग्रहकृते दातुमर्हस्यनिन्दित ।
अनुशासन्तु मां सन्तो मिथ्यावृत्तं तदाश्रयम् ॥९॥
9. caturthaṁ tu varaṁ yāce tvāmahaṁ dvijasattama ,
taṁ mamānugrahakṛte dātumarhasyanindita ,
anuśāsantu māṁ santo mithyāvṛttaṁ tadāśrayam.

dvijasattama tam mama anugrahakṛte
dātum arhasi anindita anuśāsantu
mām santaḥ mithyāvṛttam tadāśrayam
9. dvijasattama,
aham tu tvām caturtham varam yāce.

9. "O best among (dvijas), I indeed request a fourth boon from you. O blameless one, you should grant that for my benefit. Let good and virtuous people (santaḥ) instruct me, who may be ill-behaved and dependent on them."
