महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-137, verse-23

अथ वा त्वां महीपाल शमयिष्यन्ति वै द्विजाः ।
निरसिष्यन्ति वा राष्ट्राद्धतोत्साहं महाबलाः ॥२३॥
23. atha vā tvāṁ mahīpāla śamayiṣyanti vai dvijāḥ ,
nirasiṣyanti vā rāṣṭrāddhatotsāhaṁ mahābalāḥ.

nirasiṣyanti vā rāṣṭrāt hata-utsāham mahābalāḥ
23. mahīpāla,
atha vā dvijāḥ mahābalāḥ vai tvām śamayiṣyanti,
vā hata-utsāham tvām rāṣṭrāt nirasiṣyanti.
23. Or else, O king, the greatly powerful Brahmins will indeed subdue you, or they will expel you from the kingdom, your enthusiasm (utsāha) utterly destroyed.
