महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-249, verse-5

यदाहं नाधिगच्छामि बुद्ध्या बहु विचारयन् ।
संहारमासां वृद्धानां ततो मां क्रोध आविशत् ॥५॥
5. yadāhaṁ nādhigacchāmi buddhyā bahu vicārayan ,
saṁhāramāsāṁ vṛddhānāṁ tato māṁ krodha āviśat.
5. yadā aham na adhigacchāmi buddhyā bahu vicārayan
saṃhāram āsām vṛddhānām tataḥ mām krodhaḥ āviśat
5. yadā aham buddhyā bahu vicārayan āsām vṛddhānām
saṃhāram na adhigacchāmi tataḥ krodhaḥ mām āviśat
5. When I, contemplating deeply with my intellect, could not discern the destruction of these aging beings, then anger entered me.
