महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-249, verse-13

नारद उवाच ।
श्रुत्वा तु वचनं देवः स्थाणोर्नियतवाङ्मनाः ।
तेजस्तत्स्वं निजग्राह पुनरेवान्तरात्मना ॥१३॥
13. nārada uvāca ,
śrutvā tu vacanaṁ devaḥ sthāṇorniyatavāṅmanāḥ ,
tejastatsvaṁ nijagrāha punarevāntarātmanā.
13. nārada uvāca śrutvā tu vacanam devaḥ sthāṇoḥ niyatavāṅmanāḥ
tejaḥ tat svam nijagrāha punareva antarātmanā
13. nārada uvāca: tu devaḥ niyatavāṅmanāḥ,
sthāṇoḥ vacanam śrutvā,
tat svam tejaḥ punareva antarātmanā nijagrāha.
13. Nārada said: But the god, having heard Sthāṇu's words, and having controlled his speech and mind, indeed restrained his own fiery energy (tejas) again by his inner self (ātman).
