महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-19, verse-8

तस्यैतद्वदनं कृष्ण श्वापदैरर्धभक्षितम् ।
विभात्यभ्यधिकं तात सप्तम्यामिव चन्द्रमाः ॥८॥
8. tasyaitadvadanaṁ kṛṣṇa śvāpadairardhabhakṣitam ,
vibhātyabhyadhikaṁ tāta saptamyāmiva candramāḥ.
8. tasya etat vadanam kṛṣṇa śvāpadaiḥ ardha-bhakṣitam
vibhāti abhyadhikam tāta saptamyām iva candramāḥ
8. kṛṣṇa tāta tasya etat vadanam śvāpadaiḥ ardha-bhakṣitam
saptamyām iva candramāḥ abhyadhikam vibhāti
8. O Krishna, dear father, his face, half-eaten by wild animals, shines even more radiantly, like the moon on the seventh night (of the lunar cycle).
