महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-208, verse-13

का वै त्वमसि कल्याणि कुतो वासि जलेचरी ।
किमर्थं च महत्पापमिदं कृतवती पुरा ॥१३॥
13. kā vai tvamasi kalyāṇi kuto vāsi jalecarī ,
kimarthaṁ ca mahatpāpamidaṁ kṛtavatī purā.
13. kā vai tvam asi kalyāṇi kutaḥ vā asi jalecarī
kimartham ca mahat pāpam idam kṛtavatī purā
13. Who are you, O beautiful one? And from where do you come, O water-dweller? For what reason did you commit this great sin (pāpa) before?
