महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-207, verse-9

अङ्गवङ्गकलिङ्गेषु यानि पुण्यानि कानिचित् ।
जगाम तानि सर्वाणि तीर्थान्यायतनानि च ।
दृष्ट्वा च विधिवत्तानि धनं चापि ददौ ततः ॥९॥
9. aṅgavaṅgakaliṅgeṣu yāni puṇyāni kānicit ,
jagāma tāni sarvāṇi tīrthānyāyatanāni ca ,
dṛṣṭvā ca vidhivattāni dhanaṁ cāpi dadau tataḥ.
9. aṅga-vaṅga-kaliṅgeṣu yāni puṇyāni
kānicit jagāma tāni sarvāṇi tīrthāni
āyatanāni ca dṛṣṭvā ca vidhivat
tāni dhanam ca api dadau tataḥ
9. He visited all the sacred bathing places (tīrthas) and shrines (āyatanas) that existed in the regions of Aṅga, Vaṅga, and Kaliṅga. Having seen them in accordance with proper rites, he also donated wealth there.
