दृष्ट्वा च तां वरारोहां चकमे चैत्रवाहिनीम् ।
अभिगम्य च राजानं ज्ञापयत्स्वं प्रयोजनम् ।

16. dṛṣṭvā ca tāṁ varārohāṁ cakame caitravāhinīm ,
abhigamya ca rājānaṁ jñāpayatsvaṁ prayojanam ,
tamuvācātha rājā sa sāntvapūrvamidaṁ vacaḥ.

jñāpayat svam prayojanam tam uvāca
atha rājā saḥ sāntvapūrvam idam vacaḥ

16. And having seen that woman of excellent hips, the daughter of Citravāhana, he desired her. And having approached the king, he made his purpose known. Then, that king spoke these gentle words to him.
