महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-167, verse-5

अथ छित्त्वा नदी पाशांस्तस्यारिबलमर्दन ।
समस्थं तमृषिं कृत्वा विपाशं समवासृजत् ॥५॥
5. atha chittvā nadī pāśāṁstasyāribalamardana ,
samasthaṁ tamṛṣiṁ kṛtvā vipāśaṁ samavāsṛjat.

5. Then, O destroyer of enemy forces, the river cut those bonds, making that sage unbound, and released him.
