महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-105, verse-14

ते ससेनाः ससेनेन विध्वंसितबला नृपाः ।
पाण्डुना वशगाः कृत्वा करकर्मसु योजिताः ॥१४॥
14. te sasenāḥ sasenena vidhvaṁsitabalā nṛpāḥ ,
pāṇḍunā vaśagāḥ kṛtvā karakarmasu yojitāḥ.

pāṇḍunā vaśagāḥ kṛtvā karakarmasu yojitāḥ
14. Those kings, who were accompanied by their armies and whose strength had been destroyed by Pāṇḍu with his army, were, having been brought under control by Pāṇḍu, appointed to tax-duties.
