26. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
ityuktvā pitarastasya paśyato munisattama .

Mārkaṇḍeya said, "Having spoken thus, O best of sages, his ancestors (pitṛ), while he watched, suddenly became invisible, like lamps struck by the wind."
