श्रीराम उवाच ।
अनन्तरं मुने ब्रूहि काली किमिव नृत्यति ।
किं शूर्पफलकुद्दालमुसलादिस्रजाऽऽवृता ॥ १ ॥

Rama said:—Tell me sir, why the goddess Kali is said to be dancing about, and why is she armed with axe and other weapons, and arrayed with her wreaths of flowers.
