योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-32, verse-13

अहंभावनया बोधे वासना घनतानवा ।
विपश्चित्संगमाभ्यासात्पाण्डित्यमिव मूढता ॥ १३ ॥

13. The latent impressions (vāsanā) in consciousness (bodha), which are dense due to the ego-sense (ahaṃbhāvanā), become attenuated, just as ignorance (mūḍhatā) becomes scholarship through the practice of associating with the wise.
