योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-68, verse-28

सुषुप्तमौनमेवेदमनन्तत्वात्प्रबोधवत् ।
तुर्यमेवामलं विद्धि तुर्यातीतमथापि च ॥ २८ ॥

28. suṣuptamaunam eva idam anantatvāt prabodhvat
turyam eva amalam viddhi turyātītam atha api ca

28. idam suṣuptamaunam eva anantatvāt prabodhvat
turyam amalam eva viddhi ca atha api turyātītam

28. This very silent state of deep sleep (suṣupta) is indeed like an awakened state of consciousness because of its infinite nature. Know only the pure fourth (turiya) state, and also that which transcends the fourth (turyatita).
