भुवनं कज्जलाम्भोधेरिवोत्क्षिप्तमराजत ।
पेतुः कनकनिःस्यन्दसुन्दरा रविरश्मयः ॥ १३ ॥

13. The world shone as if it had been lifted out of an ocean of kohl-like darkness. The sun's rays, beautiful like streams of flowing gold, descended.
