वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-81, verse-11

कर्दमस्त्वब्रवीद्वाक्यं सुतार्थं परमं हितम् ।
द्विजाः शृणुत मद्वाक्यं यच्छ्रेयः पार्थिवस्य हि ॥११॥
11. kardamastvabravīdvākyaṃ sutārthaṃ paramaṃ hitam ,
dvijāḥ śṛṇuta madvākyaṃ yacchreyaḥ pārthivasya hi.
11. kardamaḥ tu abravīt vākyam suta-artham paramam hitam
dvijāḥ śṛṇuta mat-vākyam yat śreyaḥ pārthivasya hi
11. kardamaḥ tu suta-artham paramam hitam vākyam abravīt
dvijāḥ mat-vākyam śṛṇuta yat pārthivasya śreyaḥ hi
11. Kardama then spoke supremely beneficial words regarding the birth of a son. "O twice-born ones (dvija), listen to my words, which are certainly for the king's welfare."
