वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-79, verse-12

बुधस्तु तां निरीक्ष्यैव कामबाणाभिपीडितः ।
नोपलेभे तदात्मानं चचाल च तदाम्भसि ॥१२॥
12. budhastu tāṃ nirīkṣyaiva kāmabāṇābhipīḍitaḥ ,
nopalebhe tadātmānaṃ cacāla ca tadāmbhasi.

na upalebhe tadā ātmānam cacāla ca tadā ambhasi

12. Just upon seeing her, Budha was so afflicted by the arrows of desire (kāma) that he lost awareness of himself (ātman) and staggered in the water.
