वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-95, verse-5

रक्षसां रावणं चापि वानराणां च राघवम् ।
पश्यतां विस्मिताक्षाणां सैन्यं चित्रमिवाबभौ ॥५॥
5. rakṣasāṃ rāvaṇaṃ cāpi vānarāṇāṃ ca rāghavam ,
paśyatāṃ vismitākṣāṇāṃ sainyaṃ citramivābabhau.

5. As the demons (rakṣasas) watched Rāvaṇa, and the monkeys (vānaras) watched Rāghava (Rāma), their astonished eyes beheld the army, which appeared truly wondrous.
