वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-95, verse-22

स मुमोच ततो बाणान् रणे शतसहस्रशः ।
तान्दृष्ट्वा रावणश्चक्रे स्वशरैः खं निरन्तरम् ॥२२॥
22. sa mumoca tato bāṇān raṇe śatasahasraśaḥ ,
tāndṛṣṭvā rāvaṇaścakre svaśaraiḥ khaṃ nirantaram.

22. Then, he (Rama) released hundreds of thousands of arrows in battle. Upon seeing them, Ravana, with his own arrows, made the sky entirely covered.
