जगाम स महीं भित्त्वा दशग्रीवध्वजं शरः ।
स निकृत्तो ऽपतद्भूमौ रावणस्य रथध्वजः ॥१२॥

12. jagāma sa mahīṃ bhittvā daśagrīvadhvajaṃ śaraḥ ,
sa nikṛtto'patadbhūmau rāvaṇasya rathadhvajaḥ.

12. The arrow, having pierced Rāvaṇa's banner, went into the earth. That chariot banner of Rāvaṇa, severed, then fell to the ground.
