यदि दग्धा त्वियं लङ्का नूनमार्यापि जानकी ।
दग्धा तेन मया भर्तुर्हतं कार्यमजानता ॥४॥

4. If this Lanka is indeed burnt, then surely the venerable Janaki (Sita) must also be burnt. Therefore, by me, who acted unknowingly, the mission of my master (Rama) has been destroyed.
