वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-48, verse-10

हितार्थमेतदुक्तं वः क्रियतां यदि रोचते ।
उच्यतां वा क्षमं यन्नः सर्वेषामेव वानराः ॥१०॥
10. hitārthametaduktaṃ vaḥ kriyatāṃ yadi rocate ,
ucyatāṃ vā kṣamaṃ yannaḥ sarveṣāmeva vānarāḥ.
10. hitārtham etat uktam vaḥ kriyatām yadi rocate
ucyatām vā kṣamam yat naḥ sarveṣām eva vānarāḥ
10. vānarāḥ etat vaḥ hitārtham uktam yadi rocate
kriyatām vā yat naḥ sarveṣām eva kṣamam ucyatām
10. O monkeys, this has been spoken for your well-being. Let it be done if it pleases you, or let that be said which is suitable for all of us.
