नेदमद्य त्वया ग्राह्यं साधुवृत्तेन लक्ष्मण ।
तां प्रीतिमनुवर्तस्व पूर्ववृत्तं च संगतम् ॥७॥

7. Lakshmana, you, being of virtuous conduct, should not undertake this (act) now. Instead, maintain that affection and the suitable past behavior.
