वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-2, verse-26

पुत्रेष्वग्निषु दारेषु प्रेष्यशिष्यगणेषु च ।
निखिलेनानुपूर्व्या च पिता पुत्रानिवौरसान् ॥२६॥
26. putreṣvagniṣu dāreṣu preṣyaśiṣyagaṇeṣu ca ,
nikhilenānupūrvyā ca pitā putrānivaurasān.
26. putreṣu agniṣu dāreṣu preṣyaśiṣyagaṇeṣu ca
nikhilena anupūrvyā ca pitā putrān iva aurasān
26. ca ca nikhilena anupūrvyā putreṣu agniṣu dāreṣu preṣyaśiṣyagaṇeṣu,

26. And he inquires completely and in due order about their sons, sacred fires, wives, and groups of servants and disciples, just as a father (would inquire) about his legitimate sons.
