वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-107, verse-17

राघवाय च संन्यासं दत्त्वेमे वरपादुके ।
राज्यं चेदमयोध्यां च धूतपापो भवामि च ॥१७॥
17. rāghavāya ca saṃnyāsaṃ dattveme varapāduke ,
rājyaṃ cedamayodhyāṃ ca dhūtapāpo bhavāmi ca.

17. And by giving these excellent sandals and my renunciation (saṃnyāsa) to Rama, along with this kingdom and Ayodhya, I shall become one whose sins are purified (dhūtapāpa).
