वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-18, verse-6

अवधूते तथा भूते तस्मिन्नियमनिश्चये ।
कृतश्रमो निरुत्साहस्तस्माद्देशादपाक्रमे ॥६॥
6. avadhūte tathā bhūte tasminniyamaniścaye ,
kṛtaśramo nirutsāhastasmāddeśādapākrame.

6. With that firm resolve of my vow thus disturbed and brought to such a state, I became exhausted and disheartened, and withdrew from that place.
