महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-49, verse-20

क्षुद्रः क्षुद्रसहायश्च स्वपक्षक्षयमातुरः ।
व्यक्तं दुर्योधनो दृष्ट्वा शोचन्हास्यति जीवितम् ॥२०॥
20. kṣudraḥ kṣudrasahāyaśca svapakṣakṣayamāturaḥ ,
vyaktaṁ duryodhano dṛṣṭvā śocanhāsyati jīvitam.

20. Certainly, Duryodhana, who is petty, has petty allies, and is distressed by the destruction of his own faction, will, upon witnessing [this], give up his life while lamenting.
