महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-59, verse-23

शमो मे रोचते नित्यं पार्थैस्तात न विग्रहः ।
कुरुभ्यो हि सदा मन्ये पाण्डवाञ्शक्तिमत्तरान् ॥२३॥
23. śamo me rocate nityaṁ pārthaistāta na vigrahaḥ ,
kurubhyo hi sadā manye pāṇḍavāñśaktimattarān.
23. śamaḥ me rocate nityam pārthaiḥ tāta na vigrahaḥ
kurubhyaḥ hi sadā manye pāṇḍavān śaktimattarān
23. O dear one, peace (śama) with the Pārthas is always pleasing to me, not conflict. For I always consider the Pāṇḍavas more powerful than the Kurus.
