महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-20, verse-11

तथा विराटनगरे योन्यन्तरगतैरिव ।
प्राप्तः परमसंक्लेशो यथा पापैर्महात्मभिः ॥११॥
11. tathā virāṭanagare yonyantaragatairiva ,
prāptaḥ paramasaṁkleśo yathā pāpairmahātmabhiḥ.

paramasaṃkleśaḥ yathā pāpaiḥ mahātmabhiḥ
11. Similarly, in the city of Virāṭa, the great-souled (mahātman) Pāṇḍavas, having assumed other forms, experienced the greatest distress, as if they were wicked individuals.
