महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-134, verse-2

दीर्णं हि दृष्ट्वा राजानं सर्वमेवानुदीर्यते ।
राष्ट्रं बलममात्याश्च पृथक्कुर्वन्ति ते मतिम् ॥२॥
2. dīrṇaṁ hi dṛṣṭvā rājānaṁ sarvamevānudīryate ,
rāṣṭraṁ balamamātyāśca pṛthakkurvanti te matim.
2. dīrṇam hi dṛṣṭvā rājānam sarvam eva anudīryate
rāṣṭram balam amātyāḥ ca pṛthak kurvanti te matim
2. hi rājānam dīrṇam dṛṣṭvā sarvam eva anudīryate

2. Indeed, when a king is seen to be distressed, everything immediately disintegrates. The kingdom, the army, and the ministers all form their own separate intentions.
