महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-134, verse-17

जयो नामेतिहासोऽयं श्रोतव्यो विजिगीषुणा ।
महीं विजयते क्षिप्रं श्रुत्वा शत्रूंश्च मर्दति ॥१७॥
17. jayo nāmetihāso'yaṁ śrotavyo vijigīṣuṇā ,
mahīṁ vijayate kṣipraṁ śrutvā śatrūṁśca mardati.

mahīm vijayate kṣipram śrutvā śatrūn ca mardati
17. ayam itihāsaḥ jayaḥ nāma,
vijigīṣuṇā śrotavyaḥ.
[saḥ] śrutvā kṣipram mahīm vijayate ca śatrūn mardati.
17. This narrative, named 'Jaya', should be heard by one who desires victory. Having listened to it, one quickly conquers the earth and crushes one's enemies.
