महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-286, verse-3

इष्टानां च महात्मानो भक्तानां च न संशयः ।
कुर्वन्ति भक्तिमिष्टां च जानीषे त्वं च भास्कर ॥३॥
3. iṣṭānāṁ ca mahātmāno bhaktānāṁ ca na saṁśayaḥ ,
kurvanti bhaktimiṣṭāṁ ca jānīṣe tvaṁ ca bhāskara.
3. iṣṭānām ca mahātmānaḥ bhaktānām ca na saṃśayaḥ |
kurvanti bhaktim iṣṭām ca jānīṣe tvam ca bhāskara
3. And without a doubt, great souls and devotees perform their cherished acts of devotion (bhakti). You know this, O Sun God (bhāskara).
