महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-271, verse-14

तस्याभिद्रवतस्तूर्णं क्षुराभ्यामुच्छ्रितौ करौ ।
चिच्छेद निशिताग्राभ्यां स बभूव चतुर्भुजः ॥१४॥
14. tasyābhidravatastūrṇaṁ kṣurābhyāmucchritau karau ,
ciccheda niśitāgrābhyāṁ sa babhūva caturbhujaḥ.

14. As he (Kabandha) quickly rushed forward, (Lakṣmaṇa) cut off his two upraised hands with two sharp-pointed arrows (kṣura). Then he (Kabandha) became four-armed.
