महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-10, verse-11

एतं दृष्ट्वा भृशं श्रान्तं वध्यमानं सुराधिप ।
कृपाविष्टास्मि देवेन्द्र मनश्चोद्विजते मम ॥११॥
11. etaṁ dṛṣṭvā bhṛśaṁ śrāntaṁ vadhyamānaṁ surādhipa ,
kṛpāviṣṭāsmi devendra manaścodvijate mama.
11. etam dṛṣṭvā bhṛśam śrāntam vadhyamānam surādhipa
kṛpā āviṣṭā asmi devendra manaḥ ca udvijate mama
11. O king of gods (surādhipa), O lord of gods (devendra), seeing him extremely exhausted and being beaten, I am filled with compassion, and my mind is greatly distressed.
