उत्पतन्तं तु वेगेन जग्राहैनं मनस्विनम् ।
भीष्म एव महाबाहुर्महासेनमिवेश्वरः ॥१३॥

13. utpatantaṁ tu vegena jagrāhainaṁ manasvinam ,
bhīṣma eva mahābāhurmahāsenamiveśvaraḥ.

13. utpatantam tu vegena jagrāha enam manasvinam
bhīṣmaḥ eva mahābāhuḥ mahāsenam iva īśvaraḥ

13. But the mighty-armed Bhīṣma indeed seized that spirited man as he surged forward with great force, just as Lord Īśvara (Īśvara) seized Mahāsena (Mahāsena).

13. בְּהִישְׁמַה עצמו, בעל הזרועות האדירות, אחז בו, באיש סוער הרוח ההוא שזינק במהירות, כפי שהאדון (שִׁיוַה) אוחז במַהָאסֵנַה.
