महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-21, verse-8

एवमुक्त्वा जरासंधो भीमसेनमरिंदमः ।
प्रत्युद्ययौ महातेजाः शक्रं बलिरिवासुरः ॥८॥
8. evamuktvā jarāsaṁdho bhīmasenamariṁdamaḥ ,
pratyudyayau mahātejāḥ śakraṁ balirivāsuraḥ.
8. evam uktvā jarāsandhaḥ bhīmasenam arindamaḥ
pratyudyayau mahātejāḥ śakram baliḥ iva asuraḥ
8. Having spoken thus, Jarāsandha, the subduer of enemies and a man of great energy, advanced against Bhīmasena, just as the demon (asura) Bali advanced against Śakra (Indra).
