महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-21, verse-5

कृतस्वस्त्ययनो विद्वान्ब्राह्मणेन यशस्विना ।
समनह्यज्जरासंधः क्षत्रधर्ममनुव्रतः ॥५॥
5. kṛtasvastyayano vidvānbrāhmaṇena yaśasvinā ,
samanahyajjarāsaṁdhaḥ kṣatradharmamanuvrataḥ.

5. After a renowned and learned brahmin had performed the propitiatory rites for him, Jarāsandha, who adhered to the code of conduct for warriors (kṣatra-dharma), prepared himself for battle.
