महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-21, verse-13

तद्भीममुत्सार्य जनं युद्धमासीदुपह्वरे ।
बलिनोः संयुगे राजन्वृत्रवासवयोरिव ॥१३॥
13. tadbhīmamutsārya janaṁ yuddhamāsīdupahvare ,
balinoḥ saṁyuge rājanvṛtravāsavayoriva.
13. tat bhīmam utsārya janam yuddham āsīt upahvare
balinoḥ saṃyuge rājan vṛtravāsavayoḥ iva
13. O King, having driven away that terrified crowd, the battle ensued in close quarters, just like the combat between the powerful Vṛtra and Vāsava (Indra).
