महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-16, chapter-3, verse-9

गुरूंश्चाप्यवमन्यन्त न तु रामजनार्दनौ ।
पत्न्यः पतीन्व्युच्चरन्त पत्नीश्च पतयस्तथा ॥९॥
9. gurūṁścāpyavamanyanta na tu rāmajanārdanau ,
patnyaḥ patīnvyuccaranta patnīśca patayastathā.

patnyaḥ patīn vyuccaranta patnīḥ ca patayaḥ tathā

9. People even disrespected their spiritual teachers (guru), but not Rāma and Janārdana. Wives abandoned their husbands, and husbands likewise abandoned their wives.
