महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-24, verse-8

गान्धारि परितुष्टोऽस्मि वध्वाः शुश्रूषणेन वै ।
तस्मात्त्वमेनां धर्मज्ञे समनुज्ञातुमर्हसि ॥८॥
8. gāndhāri parituṣṭo'smi vadhvāḥ śuśrūṣaṇena vai ,
tasmāttvamenāṁ dharmajñe samanujñātumarhasi.
8. gāndhāri parituṣṭaḥ asmi vadhvāḥ śuśrūṣaṇena vai
tasmāt tvam enām dharmajñe samanujñātum arhasi
8. gāndhāri,
vadhvāḥ śuśrūṣaṇena vai asmi parituṣṭaḥ.

tvam enām samanujñātum arhasi.
8. O Gāndhārī, I am greatly pleased by the service of my daughter-in-law. Therefore, O knower of (natural) law (dharma), you ought to permit her.
