स तैर्विद्धो महातेजा वज्रदत्तो महाहवे ।
भृशाहतः पपातोर्व्यां न त्वेनमजहात्स्मृतिः ॥१७॥

17. sa tairviddho mahātejā vajradatto mahāhave ,
bhṛśāhataḥ papātorvyāṁ na tvenamajahātsmṛtiḥ.

17. saḥ mahātejā vajradattaḥ taiḥ viddhaḥ mahāhave bhṛśāhataḥ urvyāṃ papāta,
tu smṛtiḥ enam na ajahāt

17. That greatly valorous Vajradatta, struck by those (arrows) in the great battle and severely wounded, fell to the ground, but his consciousness (smṛti) did not leave him.
