महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-56, verse-6

कंचित्कालं तु तं वह्निं स एव शमयिष्यति ।
समुद्रे वडवावक्त्रे प्रक्षिप्य मुनिसत्तमः ॥६॥
6. kaṁcitkālaṁ tu taṁ vahniṁ sa eva śamayiṣyati ,
samudre vaḍavāvaktre prakṣipya munisattamaḥ.

6. O best among sages (muni), having cast that fire into the mouth of the mare (submarine fire) in the ocean, he himself will extinguish it for some time.
