नागभार्योवाच ।
आर्जवेनाभिजानामि नासौ देवोऽनिलाशन ।
एकं त्वस्य विजानामि भक्तिमानतिरोषणः ॥५॥

ārjavenābhijānāmi nāsau devo'nilāśana ,
ekaṁ tvasya vijānāmi bhaktimānatiroṣaṇaḥ.

5. The nāga's wife said, "Honestly, I do not recognize this ascetic (anilāśana) as a god (deva). However, I do know one thing about him: he is devoted and exceedingly wrathful."
