महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-248, verse-5

इमे मृता नृपतयः प्रायशो भीमविक्रमाः ।

5. These kings, mostly of terrible prowess, are dead. Regarding that, a doubt has arisen in me: why is consciousness (saṃjñā) considered dead?
