महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-9, verse-20

युगान्तकाले संप्राप्ते भूतानां दह्यतामिव ।
अभावः स्यादयं प्राप्त इति भूतानि मेनिरे ॥२०॥
20. yugāntakāle saṁprāpte bhūtānāṁ dahyatāmiva ,
abhāvaḥ syādayaṁ prāpta iti bhūtāni menire.

abhāvaḥ syāt ayam prāpta iti bhūtāni menire
20. bhūtāni menire iti ayam abhāvaḥ prāptaḥ syāt

20. When the time of the dissolution of the age (yuga) had arrived, and it seemed as though all beings were being consumed, the creatures believed, 'This destruction has surely come upon us.'
