वैशंपायन उवाच ।
एतच्छ्रुत्वा नरश्रेष्ठ चिरं ध्यात्वा त्वचेतनः ।
संजयं योजयेत्युक्त्वा विदुरं प्रत्यभाषत ॥२॥

2. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
etacchrutvā naraśreṣṭha ciraṁ dhyātvā tvacetanaḥ ,
saṁjayaṁ yojayetyuktvā viduraṁ pratyabhāṣata.

वैशंपायन उवाच नरश्रेष्ठ एतत् श्रुत्वा चिरम् ध्यात्वा तु अचेतनः [धृतराष्ट्रः] "संजयम् योजय!" इति उक्त्वा विदुरम् प्रत्यभाषत ।

Vaisampayana said: 'O best of men (naraśreṣṭha), having heard this and pondered for a long time, he (Dhritarashtra) became stunned. Then, saying "Summon Sanjaya!", he spoke to Vidura.'
