महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-15, verse-8

एवं संचेष्टमानांस्तानितश्चेतश्च भारत ।
गान्धारी विगतक्रोधा सान्त्वयामास मातृवत् ॥८॥
8. evaṁ saṁceṣṭamānāṁstānitaścetaśca bhārata ,
gāndhārī vigatakrodhā sāntvayāmāsa mātṛvat.
8. evam saṃceṣṭamānān tān itaś cetaś ca bhārata
gāndhārī vigatakrodhā sāntvayāmāsa mātṛvat
8. bhārata vigatakrodhā gāndhārī evam itaś cetaś
ca saṃceṣṭamānān tān mātṛvat sāntvayāmāsa
8. O Bharata, Gandhari, her anger having departed, consoled them, who were struggling here and there, just like a mother.
