महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-9, verse-18

स लब्ध्वा दुर्लभां भार्यां पद्मकिञ्जल्कसप्रभाम् ।
व्रतं चक्रे विनाशाय जिह्मगानां धृतव्रतः ॥१८॥
18. sa labdhvā durlabhāṁ bhāryāṁ padmakiñjalkasaprabhām ,
vrataṁ cakre vināśāya jihmagānāṁ dhṛtavrataḥ.

18. Having obtained such a rare wife, splendid like a lotus filament, he, firm in his vow, undertook a vow for the destruction of serpents.
