26.
My instruction is that one should give (dāna), perform a Vedic ritual (yajña), and study (adhīyīta) in the proper way. It is said that by performing such actions (as described in the previous verse, i.e., out of pride) one achieves fearlessness; however, those (prideful actions) are always to be avoided.
