महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-47, verse-5

यथा तेन पिता मह्यं पूर्वं दग्धो विषाग्निना ।
तथाहमपि तं पापं दग्धुमिच्छामि पन्नगम् ॥५॥
5. yathā tena pitā mahyaṁ pūrvaṁ dagdho viṣāgninā ,
tathāhamapi taṁ pāpaṁ dagdhumicchāmi pannagam.

tathā aham api tam pāpam dagdhum icchāmi pannagam
5. Just as my father was previously consumed by his poison-fire, so I too wish to burn that wicked serpent.
